Location Scouting - Hayes & Harlington

Yesterday I was told, in the last minute, that I was allowed to visit our potential location. The owners of the home are the parents of our location manager, Ambika Sidhu. It is a family home so I really wanted to stay out of their way when I came in to measure and document it. I collected the following information:

This location is in Hayes and Harlington, which is in Greater London. This will open up our opportunities as most actors would not want to leave the city for a student film. There is the added bonus that this home has a very strong motherly presence through its interior design. Though the decoration might be extremely vintage, I will leave it to our director to decide if this will be an issue. For now, I see it as appropriate for a script, and very spacious for the production to work within - which makes it a safer.

Normally I would take on all of the responsibility for location management but so far we are under the impression that we will only be using a house (we have yet to receive our first drafted script to confirm this). Since we might only be using her house, it is by default that Ambika would be hired as our location manager - especially when she is extremely enthusiastic and supportive of our project.
